Hummingbird Medi SPA, a national chain with over 25 locations, opened their new location at 6247 Quinpool Road in October 2010. The Quinpool location is the fourth to open in the Maritimes with their other Maritime locations being in Bedford, Dartmouth and Saint John, New Brunswick.
The spa offers all of the basic esthetics and specializes in laser hair removal. They also do radio frequency skin tightening; cellulite reduction and photo rejuvenation which reduce or eliminates redness, hyperpigmentation and broken blood vessels.
They offer complimentary consultation for all of their services including those offered by a cosmetic physician who performs botox treatments and fillers.
The spa looks and feels like a professional spa, the atmosphere is calming, soft music plays, and the décor is top notch. They have two treatment rooms for facials and massages, a cosmetic treatment room, two manicure tables and a pedicure room that sits four people at a time. The pedicure room is ideal for weddings, girl’s night out and office parties.
Carine Labrecque is the Regional Manager of the four Atlantic locations and Erin Whelan is the Assistant Manager of the Quinpool location. Erin and the rest of the friendly staff are well versed in providing excellent customer service. Erin tells me “the company is very employee orientated, and they keep the businesses in the Hummingbird family”. The employees at all locations are welcome to work on the glossy informative company newsletter formerly known as Metamorphosis the Health and Beauty Guide, now known as Enform.
Customers can also choose from a wide variety of medical grade skin care, mineral make up and nail polish. All of which are under the PRFX line, exclusive to Hummingbird Medi SPA.
With all of these offerings, people are flocking to Hummingbird Medi Spa. “Business is good on Quinpool”, Erin says. “There is plenty of traffic and lots of people coming in. It is very central”, she adds.
