Every year, our marketing team crafts a multi-faceted promotional campaign to highlight our Quinpool neighbourhood as THE retail destination in HRM to buy local during the all important holiday season. 2018 marked our fourth such campaign, all of which have been generously sponsored by our friends at BMO Quinpool Branch.
This year we tried something new, with the introduction of our very own upbeat ambassador of Quinspired gift ideas. Quinpool Rhoda, (whose motto is “I’m vocal about buying local!”), spent several days in November, personally visiting and documenting the friendly faces and unique offerings of nearly forty of our member businesses. Rhoda’s lively videos and upbeat photos lit up our social media channels with a notable boost of customer engagement.
Facebook stats alone (collected during the promotion period) showed a 530% increase in Post Engagements, a 328% boost in Post Reach, and Total Video Views of 13,524 (a spike of 10,549% over typical numbers during the year)! These stats reflect only Quinpool’s social media, but some of our members also shared similar spikes in online engagement with their own sharing of the campaign.
